Sunday 5th July 2020, marks the 22nd anniversary of Stevie’s passing. Here at Team Hyper D, we are determined to keep pushing the legacy forward underneath the banners; “The Hyper D Legacy Project”, the forthcoming feature documentary “Stevie Hyper D: The Hidden Influence” and also the live show “HYPER D: [RE]LIVE”.
For those who were at the now infamous Connected Festival last October. You may have seen or heard about, the live show that we created as a team. The premise of the show is to bring elements of Stevie’s stage performance to an audience, who were not of age to see him in the 90s. The show at Connected went down well and utilised digitally re-mastered audio clips, exclusive music material and unseen archive video footage.
As the anniversary of Stevie’s passing fast approaches, we decided to team up with the amazing streaming outlet, Lockdown TV to do a live stream like no other. The stream will be in association with Insomniac Music Group, Jungle Mania, THTC, cHip sHop and the good folks at DNBA.
Featured artists will be Stevie’s original DJ Nicky Blackmarket, Rinse FM don Uncle Dugs, with Navigator and Fatman D on lyrical duties. Keep your eyes peeled for special guests.
The stream will go out live in full HD on Sunday at 5pm GMT, on Lockdown TV
It will also be broadcast in standard definition across Facebook.
